Cincinnati Life

  • LifeHorizons Guaranteed Whole Life 01/2018 Discontinued. Due to a compliance issue, the LifeHorizons Guaranteed Whole Life 01/2018 effective January 2, 2018, has been discontinued and will no longer be available effective Tuesday, August 7, 2018. It will be replaced with the new LifeHorizons Guaranteed Whole Life 08/2018 product portfolio, and new rates have been updated within WinFlex and CompuLife quoting and rating systems.
    • Applications signed on or before August 6, 2018, and received in Headquarters before August 13, 2018, must be reviewed for compliance. If compliant, the policy will be issued as applied for. If not compliant, the policy will be issued with the new 08/2018 plan.
    • Applications signed after August 6, 2018, or received after August 13, 2018, will be issued with the LifeHorizons Guaranteed Whole Life 08/2018 plan.
    • Quotes/illustrations dated after August 6, 2018, will need to be requoted with the new LifeHorizons Guaranteed Whole Life 08/2018.

Genworth

  • In-Force Rate Action Announcement: Utah: Pre-PCS. As part of the strategy for our long-term care insurance business, we continue pursuing initiatives to improve the risk and profitability profile of our business, including premium increases on in-force policies, as needed. Utah has now allowed the following increases: Pre-PCS 30% increase percentage for policies with limited benefit periods, 60% increase percentage for policies with lifetime benefit periods.   • New Mexico Long-Term Care Insurance Training Requirements. Effective immediately, an individual may not sell, solicit, or negotiate long-term care insurance unless the individual is appropriately licensed and has completed a tone-time long-term care training course. The individual must also complete ongoing training after the completion of the one-time long-term care training course.   • Suppressing Personally Identifiable Information from Genworth Reporting. As part of our ongoing commitment and obligation to protect our customers and our distribution partners, we continue pursuing initiatives to improve the protection of our customer's data and ensure we are complying with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and other consumer information protection acts and data security best practices. As part of that commitment, we are going to immediately begin suppressing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in our recurring and ad-hoc reporting that are distributed to you. PII that will no longer be included in reports that Genworth sends to Distribution Partners includes the following: name, date of birth, street address, phone number, and email address. John Hancock

  • Next round of in-force rate action notifications to take place in late September. In late September, we will begin policyholder notifications on the next round of John Hancock and Fortis policies impacted by the in-force rate actions, which will have an effective date beginning with anniversaries on or after January 1, 2019. The 2016 rate action notifications will include John Hancock LTCI individual policies originally issued in Alaska, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Also impacted are individual Interstate Compact approved policies in Idaho, Iowa and Washington. We will continue the implementation of the 2013 rate action for John Hancock LTCI individual policyholders in Illinois who have received an initial “phased-in” increase.

Starting on September 3, 2018, the application submission options are expanding to support YOUR preferred way of doing business with Pacific Life.
